Southwest Virginia CPR provides quality life-saving skills instruction in recognizing and responding to first aid, cardiac, and breathing emergencies.  Individuals achieving certification in recognizing and responding to these types of emergencies strengthens the Southwest Virginia community and builds its resilience in the face of unexpected events.

Instructors:

Amy Englund, MA, QMHP, QIDP – Blacksburg, VA

Amy is a certified instructor with the American Red Cross and has been since 2014. She takes pride in helping individuals acquire the knowledge and skills to be able to save lives. Since becoming an instructor through the Red Cross, she has trained and certified hundreds of individuals in in First Aid, CPR and AED techniques.

Carrie Browder, BSN, RN – Radford, VA

Carrie is a certified American Red Cross Instructor and Instructor Trainer as well as a Virginia Medication Administration Training (MAT) instructor. She graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked for two years as a Registered Nurse (RN) on a cardiac progressive care unit. She currently works for a local community service board in the New River Valley.
