Southwest Virginia CPR provides quality life-saving skills instruction in recognizing and responding to first aid, cardiac, and breathing emergencies. Individuals achieving certification in recognizing and responding to these types of emergencies strengthens the Southwest Virginia community and builds its resilience in the face of unexpected events.

Amy Englund, MA, QMHP, QIDP – Blacksburg, VA
Amy is a certified instructor with the American Red Cross and has been since 2014. She takes pride in helping individuals acquire the knowledge and skills to be able to save lives. Since becoming an instructor through the Red Cross, she has trained and certified hundreds of individuals in in First Aid, CPR and AED techniques.
Carrie Browder, BSN, RN – Radford, VA
Carrie is a certified American Red Cross Instructor and Instructor Trainer as well as a Virginia Medication Administration Training (MAT) instructor. She is a registered nurse and graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her professional experience includes acute cardiac inpatient care, outpatient psychiatry, and intellectual and developmental disability community nursing.
Bob Browder, MIS – Radford, VA
Bob is a Red Cross certified instructor for adult and pediatric first-aid, CPR, and AED. He graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Systems and holds a Master’s of Information Science from the University of North Texas. His professional experience includes activity in computer science education and leveraging emerging technologies in open-access publishing.
